Vintage Reynolds 531 Claud Butler Racing Bike. Now reduced in Cardiff, Cardiff for sale

I am selling a Claud Butler Olympic Road Bike . The Olympic model originally was introduced in 1951 but primarily as a sprint bike. It was upgraded to a road race bike in 1961. With the uptake of cycling the model was revised in 1967 to a full commuter road bike. Pump pegs were added and the gap between the underside of the brake callipers and the road wheel enlarged to take mudguards. The Olympic model was not made after 1978 (to my knowledge). It is a 22.5 inches (575mm) Reynolds 531 Frame and forks. Frame is as measured from pedal crank to top of seat post. Top tube is same. It has alloy weinmann rims with large flange hubs. It has Weinmann 750 centre pull brakes. Alloy crank set and drop handle bars. This bike has been completely stripped and rebuilt. Bearings stripped and cleaned and re-greased. New cables throughout. New brakes. New tubes. New tyres. New seat. New grips. New chain. Original 5 speed free wheel which is a joy to listen to (amazing). The Blumels pump is original and working. These sell for £20. The bike has the metal headset badge and these are worth about £40. This bike is NOT for a novice. It is a fast light weight bike with real lean forward drop handle bars and down tube shifters. Nothing easy and you have to get used to this bike. Hence I would expect a proficient rider to be interested in this bike. I would expect someone from 5 feet 6 to 5 feet eleven to be the right size. The bike is probably over 40 years old and I took it out for ride this morning and it was breath taking. Everything worked as it should. A bike of this age will have some scratches and marks. I have tried to protect all scratches with 4 coats of clear car lacquer. If you buy this bike then you are buying something of history from Claud Butler. I am asking for £220. It is a fair price.
